How to drop staff of herding plans

Been farming izual and diablo for few hours than and nothing; then i tried to put all my MF (magic find) equip off and ALSO from my helper and let my helper/friend to kill him and on second run i got finally THE plan…

i got it when i had those MF dots x 3 so its not rly required to skip elites
